Flushing Water Woes

The weather in New York looks very iffy for the next 2 days. But unlike last night, these games against the Wild Card co-leader will be played, somehow, someday.

Both Florida and New York have won just 2 of their last 5 games played on September 26. Since 1993 on September 26, the Marlins are 6-9 and the Mets are 4-8. They played each other once on September 26, which was a Fish victory in 2003.

The Marlins are 7-5 in Friday road games, but one of those losses was against the Mets on August 8. The Mets are 6-4 in Friday home games, but they haven't played one since a loss on September 5.

Chris Volstad and Mike Pelfrey may take the mound tonight. (yahoo)

MARLINS-WIN: The Mets teeter on the edge of elimination and will start Johan tomorrow instead of Sunday.
