Park Events

In an effort to get next season off to a more spiritually favorable start, tickets for the April visit by Joel Osteen to Marlins Park go on sale today (I'm guessing that's the best Jeffrey can do; the Pope is probably a Padres fan).

Tickets for the 'friendly' soccer match between Venezuela and Nigeria are on sale too. This is being promoted as the park's "very first non-baseball sporting event" - I bet a few of you have a problem with that statement, thinking some of the performances the Fish put on this year may not be considered 'baseball' in the pure sense of the term. Maybe it'll be fun just to see if there's a possible resurrection of the dreaded vuvuzuelas for this match, and whether their dulcet tones will shatter the picture-windows in left field.

The Championship Series start tonight in the AL with Detroit in the Bronx.

So Jeffrey says he never comments on "any ridiculous and fabricated rumors", a statement which is in fact a comment on what he thinks about the rumors. Seeing that he fibbed when he commented on something he says he never comments on, then is it possible the ridiculous and fabricated rumors may be actually not so ridiculous and fabricated after all? Congrats to Ricky, who got a shutout against Strasburg and the Nats last night.
