Even The Series?

It's Buehrle and the debut of Pat Corbin today.

Go-Ahead Game?

Hanley had the walk-off win last night to tie the series. The roof will get a test today with showers all over SoFla - this will probably be the first game saved by the dome. Infante's back in the lineup. Josh starts for the Fish, Wade Miley for the Snakes.

Another Attempt

Ozzie jiggers the lineup to get something going. Ian and Anibal start.

Federal Friday

NEWS: Fish sweep the Cubs.

Marlins prospect doing good; another not so good.

Stanton's not worried.

TONIGHT: Zambrano against Detwiler in D.C..

The Marlins won last night.

They play this afternoon.

Just Another Game

The Cubs come to town. The Fish so far this year have shown all the defensive flair of last year. But now that the Marlins have their dead rally bird every thing should be all right. The slower Josh Johnson and Ryan Dempster are scheduled to start.

Quiet Before the Storm?

The Marlins take their 3rd day off in 10 games today. As the world waits another day of anticipation to see what will happen when Ozzie oozes back onto the field, the rest of the NL East play ...

Happy Jackie Day

The reign of Joey Cora temporarily ends after today's game at Marlins Park. Anibal and Happ start. Fish remember J.R. as they forget last night's game.

First De-Supered Saturday

Friday, April 13, 2012

Back to the Dome Home

The Marlins arrive back "home", on Friday the 13th no less, to have a series with the 'stros, for the third Fish game managed by Joey Cora.

Reports report that there were no overt protests at the ballpark tonight (so far). Maybe anger over Ozzie's obnoxious Castro comment may have been tempered by remembering that last month someone had a nice friendy chat with the evil tyrant and yet there were no calls for that person's resignation or boycotts of his many establishments.

Nolasco and Harrell aim for the fish tanks tonight.

Thursday Game of Rubber

Buehrle and Blanton battle it out.

Time for Monday Baseball....

Ozzie Explains at 10:30 Today

If he finds a way to continue as Marlins manager he would be much greater than Fidel, since he wouldn't have to kill anyone to stay in power.

Here's one Cuban-American, anti-santeria viewpoint.

UPDATE: Ozzie gets suspended for 5 days. Some angry exiles are shouting for Guillen's removal. They're not only angry at his admiring Fidel for being able to stay in power for the last 50 years, but they're also angry at Ozzie for reminding them and the world of the other implied meaning of his statement - that the Cuban exiles have failed at getting rid of Fidel for the last 50 years.

Mad Monday

In today's action the Fish win over the Phillies 6-2.

Here's the rest of tonight's action...

And in tomorrow's action Ozzie will appear at Marlins Park, probably wearing red-orange Kevlar, to once again apologize to those who consider apologies unacceptable. And somewhere under the outfield bleachers, Jeffrey will probably be dusting off old Trader Jack again.

Sunday Series Decider

The Marlins get their first win.

And Infante almost did a rare feat last night.

MORE-THINGS: A fan tells his viewpoint on what Opening Night was like.

On how the new park plays, we are reminded that three games does not a ballpark make (maybe).

Ozzie apologizes for admiring how an old murderous Communist stays in power.

Since Ozzie gets drunk every night, expect more fun facts coming out of his face.

Zambrano makes his Marlins debut in a park he's succeeded in before. Arroyo goes for the Reds.

Saturday with the RedLegs

So the Fish lost to Cincinatti on Thursday...

...and yesterday was a day off.

Counting the Yankee exhibitions Miami has lost 4 straight. Tonight's game may be the toughest matchup yet. But don't Panic.

More things...

Ozzie "Stay_Out-Of-Trouble" Guillen probably p.o.'ed many Cubans in South Florida by respecting El Jefe; his own jefe doesn't share the same opinion.

The Marlins weren't the only little team doing big spending this year.

Lance predicts a moving-of-the-fences at Marlins Park.

PETA gets a trick brick into the new park's plaza.

Nolasco and Latos mount the Great American mound tonight.

O-fish-al Opening Day

The 1st game of the new Miami Marlins and their stadium is tonight against the Cardinals. Down below are scoreboards from 6 services - pick what you like.
