Who Said What

So now we got Heath Bell saying (FIX)he was misquoted when (FIX)he was quoted as being critical of Ozzie, and we have Ozzie's response to what he thought Bell said he said.
For some perspective, here's a famous person's reflection on being misquoted.
Tonight its Johnson and Maholm.

What He Said

So Jeffrey says he never comments on "any ridiculous and fabricated rumors", a statement which is in fact a comment on what he thinks about the rumors. Seeing that he fibbed when he commented on something he says he never comments on, then is it possible the ridiculous and fabricated rumors may be actually not so ridiculous and fabricated after all? Anyway, with that annoying pennant race out of the way, the Marlins can now concentrate on pummeling the Mets. Turner and Niese start tonight. (Yahoo)(ESPN)(CBSSports)(MLB)(FOX)(CNNSI)

Two supposedly in-the-know anonymous guys told USAToday's Bob Nightengale that Jeffrey will be firing Larry very soon, along with whoever else he deems had a hand in constructing the failed season.

Friday on the Paths

Jupiter pooped out, but the Hoppers are still in the fight.

Much reflecting going on. The Marlins have to win all 18 games left in the season to finish at .500. Tonight it's the last NL team left to debut at Marlins Park, the red-hot Cincinatti Reds. Key West native Bronson Arroyo pitches tonight for the Reds, Jacob Turner for the Marlins.

New Schedule Released

The reduction to irrelevance of the two seperate Major Leagues continues next year. In 2013 interleague games will be spread out throughout the schedule, as if the other league was just another division. The Marlins even finish the 2013 season against the Tigers. Michael Jong reviews the situation.

Today the Fish drag themselves back to Miami, where tomorrow they will play their last non-NL-East team this year. While we're waiting, here's today's games....

The Fish couldn't solve Kendrick last night. Tonight it's Eovaldi vs. Halladay.

Monday, September 10, 2012

A Nice Cool Glass Eliminate

Good Job

Now that the Marlins helped shut down Strasburg early, it's time to work on the other parts of their rotation. The next victim will be Ross Detwiler, opposed today by Mark Buehrle. No FSN telecast today, because it won't be pretty.
