"Huizenga and Jeffrey Loria -- past and present owners of the Marlins -- probably wonder why deals for a new stadium never gained momentum, especially with an organization that boasts such an impressive track record.
"It's no secret, really. You don't generate good will and civic pride by rolling over. Neither had the clout or the wherewithal to facilitate a deal for a new stadium. But both were pros when it came to cutting their losses with fire sales.
