Finally the electricity came back on! (It was out for about 8.5 days.) Now I can return to my lifelong quest of fighting the swamp with air conditioning.
Welcome back! I was worried about you. I hope that being without electricity was your only problem. I was without juice for about 4 days, but that was the only thing I had to deal with, so it wasn't so bad. Going twice as long would have been really tough though.
Everything's looking good. 8 days wasn't so bad, except for those final hot, humid nights. We have a gas stove and water heater, so we ate and bathed well. And the starlit nights were awesome.
