The way those last two sentences sound together makes it seem that it Was the Hanley situation that sent the Marlins into 'another direction', no matter what the first sentence said.
Well, as the Gabbing Blog says, whether or not Hanley's situation led to Fredi's firing, the Marlins' new manager at least has played in the majors.
