Travel Day

Marlins transport themselves to Philadelphia. No NL East games are scheduled. There are some other games, though...

Wednesday, May 30, 2012

Less Nats

The Fish are slated to finish their home stand tonight.

Tuesday, May 29, 2012

More Nats

The NL East continues its battles, with Fish at Nats and Phils at Mets - Atlanta deals with the Cards. Second Nats game in Miami tonight.

Monday, May 28, 2012

Back With Nats

The Nationals are scheduled for 3 games at Marlins Park, a place where a rainout like what happened at Nationals Park earlier this year is unlikely to occur.

Sunday, May 27, 2012

Adios Giants

This should be the Marlins' last game against the Giants this year. That makes SF the second NL team the Fish are finished with for 2012 (the first was the Astros on May 9). It's a 1:10 start.

Saturday, May 26, 2012

Sat. Aft. at Mar. Park

A 4:05 start is planned.

Friday, May 25, 2012

SF Again

Another evening game with the Giants is planned.

Thursday, May 24, 2012

Giants Invade

San Francisco arrives for four games. Miami, the Mets and Atlanta are the NL East guys playing at home this go-round.

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Second Rocks

The 2nd game of the Colorado series should be tonight, unless the bobbleheads break out of the museum and start rampaging.

First Rocks

The Fish are back home for ten games straight. The Rockies start the festivities for three. Philly is the only other NL East team playing at home this series.

Sunday, May 20, 2012

Closer to Home

The end of Interleague Weekend with the Indians is scheduled to be a 1:05 start.

Saturday, May 19, 2012

Saturday with AL

Since I pre-posted this some time ago, I don't know if the weather's holding up in Cleveland. All I know now is that the Fish have a 4:05 start scheduled there today. At least the Mets and Braves are playing away games too.

Friday, May 18, 2012

Interleague Weekend

Only the Cardinals and Dodgers get to avoid the curse of Interleague Weekend. The Marlins are playing the Indians for a scheduled three games - the Fish are the only NL East team not playing an AL East team this weekend.

Thursday, May 17, 2012

Short Shots

The quickie series against the Braves ends tonight. The Fish have another two-game series on the schedule for August 28-29 at home with the Nats.

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

Next Two-Gamer

For the next two-game series the Nats and Mets are at home, and Philly is away, as they play the NL Central. The Marlins go to Atlanta on their way to Cleveland.

I'm sorta away too, so for a while posts will be even lighter than usual.

Tuesday, May 15, 2012

Bye Bye Buckos

Correia and Josh are scheduled to start tonight. The Marlins won't see Pittsburgh again until July 20.

Monday, May 14, 2012

First of Two Two-fers

This is the goofy week in the schedule where MLB has the teams play two 2-game series in a row.

The Marlins are 3 games into a scheduled 20-game stretch without a day off, but with 15 of those 20 games at home (they have another 20-game run in August, with only 6 of those games at home). The Fish play 21 of their next 29 games at home.

All the NL East teams play at home today and tomorrow. In Miami, the Fish host the Pirates for their first two-bagger. Bedard and Anibal are expected to start.

Another Rubber Game

Zambrano vs. Niese this afternoon.

Third Rocks

The last game of the Colorado series should be tonight. The Marlins are slated to go to Denver for 4 games in the middle of August.

Saturday, May 12, 2012

Knuckle Under?

The Marlins have been on a tear recently. But will R.A.'s flutterer slow them down? Or will the humid ponderosity of Marlins Park squash Dickey flat? Ricky pitches in today's early FOX game.

Make-Up Time

Here's last night's Fish-less games....

And tonight the Marlins and Mets battle it out in Miami...

Game 2 in Hou

Monday, May 07, 2012

Half-Way Home

The Mets play at Philly, but all the other NL East teams play away against the NL Central this go-around. The Marlins make their last visit to a NL stadium in Texas (until the day some future Selig decides once again to reorganize everything). It's Zamby vs. Wandy tonight.

Marlins Win 4-1

Friday, May 04, 2012

More California

The Marlins bring their win streak to San Diego to try to break the Padres' 8-game winning streak over them. Brett Haytes starts again. Josh and Bass pitch tonight.

Fish Sneek in a Sweep

And here's hoping the recent past doesn't repeat.

Wednesday, May 02, 2012

SF Game 2

The Marlins get a fortunate win last night. Now that they are away from huge, drippy and grass-killing Marlins Park, maybe they can string a few more wins together. Tonight Mr. Z and Sr. Z mount the mound.

Tuesday, May 01, 2012

West Coast Swing

The Marlins hope their luck is better on the other side of the continent.
