What He Said

So Jeffrey says he never comments on "any ridiculous and fabricated rumors", a statement which is in fact a comment on what he thinks about the rumors. Seeing that he fibbed when he commented on something he says he never comments on, then is it possible the ridiculous and fabricated rumors may be actually not so ridiculous and fabricated after all? Anyway, with that annoying pennant race out of the way, the Marlins can now concentrate on pummeling the Mets. Turner and Niese start tonight. (Yahoo)(ESPN)(CBSSports)(MLB)(FOX)(CNNSI)

New Schedule Released

The reduction to irrelevance of the two seperate Major Leagues continues next year. In 2013 interleague games will be spread out throughout the schedule, as if the other league was just another division. The Marlins even finish the 2013 season against the Tigers. Michael Jong reviews the situation.

Today the Fish drag themselves back to Miami, where tomorrow they will play their last non-NL-East team this year. While we're waiting, here's today's games....
